Benefit Performance for Japan at Conservatory of Music

FRIDAY April 15, 2011 8:00pm at Recital Hall
Sofia Weiss Sarkisian, mezzo-soprano
Sofia will present a senior recital in part of the requirements for her Bachelor of Music degree.
Performance includes works by Mozart, Wolf and Ravel.

SATURDAY April 16, 2011 11:00am at Recital Hall
Ivy Wong, bass
Ivy will present a junior recital in part of the requirements for a degree Bachelor of Music in Bass Performance.
Performance includes works by Bach, Faure and Bottesini with Purchase Chamber Orchestra.
(Free Brunch will be offered for supporters!)


Benefit Performance for Japan during Culture Shock

SATURDAY April 16th (during Culture Shock)
Between the STOOD and the Humanities BLDG

Performing Artists:

Run on the Sun
Piano Alternative Rock band based on Greenwich, CT.Formed in Fall of 2010.
Playing songs including "Hold On" which is a song dedicated to support people suffering in Japan!!!

Biwanko
A TAIKO (Japanese Drum) drumming troupe based in New Jersey.
BIWANKO is the amateur TAIKO performing group formed in October, 2007 by a few families in Bergen County, New Jersey who shared the same interest as to pass Japanese culture and tradition to their children.

Gathering of dancers who volunteered to share the positive energy through dance form known as “Street Dancing”.
Sending positive power to Japan through the love of dancing!!!

Street Dancing Contest
